Dear girls,
It has been a long time since I have updated this blogspot, thank you for those who are still staying tune to this blog. hehe
It's time for us to plan for 2010 cca orientation day, i will need lots of ideas from you girls. I would really appreciate if you could give me some suggestions and what do we have to improve on. Not forgetting providing new ideas to attract the newly sec 1s who are joining SPF. I need someone to help me out on video presentation too!!! any kind souls out there?
More More More IDEAS please!!!
I hope that all of you will give your utmost support to the planning committee for cca orientation day, helping out on the preparation, attending all meetings and rehersals etc for the performance and commit to the work which has been assigned to you.
Below are some of my reflections for being in GB for almost 9 years... something for you to read and since 2009 is coming to an end soon, we have to do some reflections before stepping into a brand new year.
I have witnessed the growth of GB, from a small group of 4-5 girls, expanding to a company of 30 girls, experiencing all sorts of ups and downs, reducing the no. of girls to only 2 recruits at a point of time. It is like the buisness cycle, fluctuating up and down.
However, I believe those of us, who has been in GB before, we know that it was GB, which has groomed us to who we are today, we grew and became matured, able to learn leadership skills and apply them to our everyday lives, and most importantly we make great friends, not only with the girls, but with the officers too.
That is the reason why, when GB 44th met with a crisis, all of the officers unite, returning to GB to help out, hoping to give whatever we can to revive it. We were glad that things turned out well and our efforts did not go down to drain.
This is not only the work of the officers, we would like to thank all the girls for making it happen as well, without each of you, attending each and every of the meeting/activities, picking up skills like drill (although some of you did not like it = p), your presence has given us hope that we can continue on.
It is not easy to manage so many girls at a time, all the officers and senior helpers have our own work and studies to manage, and we might have neglected some of you, but no matter what, if you are facing any problems regardless of family, financially, studies etc, you may come to any of us, we will definitely try our best to resolve them.
I have once been a girl, i know what most of you have gone through, life might seems to be tough at times, dont be discouraged, things will turn out to be better as time goes by.
I am currently tied up with work and studies, but i will try to update as often as I can. if not, i will get other officers or publicity commitee to update.
Thank you for reading through all my "naggy" reflections.
I hope to see you during the upcoming camp.
Take care.
Stay blessed!
Thanks,
Ms Tan (SL)
